Design and Construct Mesa A Evaporation Ponds

Design and construct evaporation ponds to contain treated oily water, and concrete drying slab, including associated infrastructure, at Mesa A's NPI facilities.

Duration: January 2017 – July 2017

Early works consisted of the detailed design, site geotechnical and services investigation and reporting followed by a joint Client/Contractor design and safety review.  The twin evaporation ponds construction included cut to fill earthworks, trench and surface preparation, geotextile and HDPE liner installation followed by security fencing of the site.
A new concrete drying slab was constructed along with new pipework and valves for the inflow to the ponds.
