The team quickly mobilised to site to construct a pad in the pit within 2 weeks, before the tank installation contractor arrived on site. Additional volume of mine waste was required and drainage was added to the scope.
- Foundation preparation;
- Removing oversize from stockpiled material;
- Condition, load and haul;
- Place and compact;
- Trim the pad and its batters;
- Supply and install 280t of cracker dust in a 75mm thick layer;
- Excavate a V-drain.
